Pam Blaker serves as the Director of Government and Public Relations and the Geographic Information System (GIS) Chairman for the County.
Pam is a graduate of West Greene High School and was raised in the western area of Greene County near Ryerson Station State Park. She served as an Auditor for Jackson Township and was a volunteer for eight-plus years with the local Food Bank before being employed in 1992 with the County of Greene, where she has held several positions.
Pam attended the Greene County Vo-tech where she received her Certified Nursing Assistant License and became employed with the Curry Memorial Home. She received her degree in Business and Medical Office Administration from Penn Commercial, Inc.
And was then employed in the Assessment Office which values real estate properties for Ad Valorem Taxation as a Data Entry Clerk transferring property ownership by deeds recorded in the Register and Recorders Office and assisting with the Tax Abatement Program.
She attended Westmoreland Community College where she studied Auto CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) and Sociology. She then advanced to Junior Draftsman which duties included property lot splits, drafting and maintaining tax maps and a few years later to Senior Draftsman working with MapInfo, a GIS program. Pam was promoted to Assistant Assessor to the Chief Assessor where she obtained her Certified Pennsylvania Evaluator License (CPE) to value and assess property and was involved with the first in-house reassessment for the County.
In 2004, she was fortunate to move into the Administrative Assistant to the Commissioners position in the Commissioners Office and currently is the Director of Government and Public Relations. Her studies also include Criminal Justice and Psychology at California University of Pennsylvania.
